How Google Sandbox Messes With Your ‘Rank and Bank’ Strategy.

Updated July 2017. Are you wondering why your new site is not getting any attention from search engines? The reason and the cure is explained here.

Google just dumped your beautiful new baby in the Sandbox! Your well planned ‘rank and bank’ strategy  just took a sudden face plant in the GooBox!

The baddest news for your new website is this could last for 6 months, ooh…whaaaat?

The Google Sandbox is a crowded, anxious place full of fledgling sites like yours. I’ve been there too, but I’ve either wiped it from my memory, like childbirth amnesia, or I was too inexperienced to know I was in there in the first place. Phew!

I know how you feel, You’ve researched the niche, pinpointed the audience, inspected purchasing trends, reviewed key products and lined up your new affiliates. You’ve done everything in the  ‘Killer Website Manual‘.

Expectations run high with the launch of a new site. You might have even put a $ figure on your yearning for an earning.…perhaps…. prematurely!

What is Google Sandbox about, you ask, terrified!

Well, myth and legend has it that Google, in an ingenious attempt to curb webmasters and spammers from gaming the system, have designed this wet blanket approach. It lets the good guys prove they’re for real, by sheer persistence, I suspect.

And the bad guys, the black hats? Well, too many misdemeanors will earn them penalties, total exclusion and maybe even death (of the website.)

To demystify the Google Sandbox story, I’ll let Dominic Wells, CEO at Human Proof Designs, give his view.

“While Google has never formally admitted it, the Sandbox is well known and documented by large and small SEOs alike.

The sandbox itself is more of an effect than a specific period, but essentially what it does is limit the ranking power of a website during its first few months. It’s like putting a handbrake on your website until it has aged a certain amount of time.

Why? Because Google doesn’t want everybody to be able to set up a website in a day, fill it with spam, and have it ranking within a week. The sandbox is Google’s way of saying: you need to work at this and earn your rankings.

The period the Sandbox lasts differs from niche to niche, and site to site, but the general rule of thumb is that after six months, a site will start to rank better, and link building will be much more effective.”

Get further clarification about aged sites from the owner of Human Proof Designs.

Ian Pribyl (StoppingScams.com) has this to say.

“What kills most people’s enthusiasm right from the start, is not being able to see results quickly enough.”

What To Do When You Are Bogged in the Sandbox?

There are at least 6 important other actions a new site needs during the Sandbox time. Use it productively to be prepared for the next phase in your business.

Is There A Way To Avoid The Goo Sand?

Well, Dominic has taken things one step further and created a new product in the Human Proof Design website range to do just that. Avoid the Goo Box!

This 1 Progressive Twist Kicks Sand in the Face of Google

and Bypasses the Sandbox Completely.

What is it? Aged Sites – No More Sandbox!

Aged Sites Avoid Google Sandbox
Aged Sites like this one have done their time in the GooBox. Now, Ready to Start Earning.

With the HPD Aged Sites you can skip the sandbox without waiting six months, whether you are brand new to websites or a marketing veteran.

Dom builds niche websites for people,

but in a different way.

Human Proof Designs is like a website shop. You go in, have a look around at all the shiny new websites, check out their features and order the one you like. Kind of like buying a custom made car, except these babies will earn you money.

Aged Sites are very different in one important aspect.

They are aged, like a nice bottle of Cab Sav, they’ve been allowed to mature and develop character, or in this case rank.

The Aged sites have done their time in the Goo Box and are ready to get to work on the old ‘rank and bank’ strategy.

  • They are brand new, virginal, no one owned it before.
  • They’ve aged in the Google Sandbox for at least 6 months.
  • They are already indexed in Google and quite well ranked.

After 6 months or more ‘maturing’ in the Sandbox this site was ready to roll

  • They come fully loaded with 16000 words of quality content
  • Beautiful, easy premium themes
  • All the best Plugins
  • Social Media Accounts
  • A Current Ranking Report
  • A customised eBook Lead Magnet, exclusive to Aged Sites

The time saved in just creating an eBook alone for your niche site is worth its weight in gold.

The eBook is of course custom written for the site.  You can give it away as a free lead magnet to grow your email list. HPD will even set it up for you and add the optin forms.

So What Does ‘Stopping Scams’- Ian, Think About the Aged Sites idea?

“BEING ABLE TO SKIP THE SANDBOX IS HUGE.

“If you can start in a situation where your site is ready to skyrocket, you’ll be able to build and maintain momentum so much more effectively.”

These Aged Sites are not for everyone.

If you are Someone who has the budget and wants a massive head start OR Someone who wants to outsource as much as possible OR Someone who is ready to start right away OR Someone who is committed to success….. then you’ve just found the “Get Out Of Jail” Card, at a cost.

No matter what niche you choose or how much it is capable of earning, the pricing for an Aged Site is currently fixed at $1,497.00. Go here to check for price changes and see the full range of aged sites currently available.

On the other hand if you want to learn it all yourself OR  are starting out on a tight budget OR you are just curious about affiliate marketing, the aged sites probably are not suited to you just yet.

Will an aged site from HPD really save you 6 months of work?

I think you should take a look here at exactly what you get with one of these Aged Sites. Briefly, you get 16000 words of well researched posts and pages, beautiful easy themes, best plugins,  ranking reports, social media accounts, legal documents, and a free ebook!

In my experience, it takes a long time just  to get your site built out. Then you slowly start to see traffic and build it up. Don’t even talk about money or ebooks or email lists, that is way down the track. Plus you still have to contend with the Gosh Darn GooBox!

Grab an aged site, brush off the sand and get to work. Hang the expense, I say. You are definitely getting a massive head start without any of the demoralising holdups along the sandy path to website success.

Human Proof Designs are producing an evergrowing range of high quality products and I’m excited to see what they come up with next.

Don’t let the Google Sandbox mess with you ‘rank n bank’ strategies ever again. Please come back and tell me which of the Aged Sites you want to get your hands on.

Go far and Go Well

Wow. Great information here as I am one who is waiting for the 6 months. It’s good to know I have an alternative using aged sites. I would like to if aged sites will cost more and if so how much more would one need to expect to pay for an aged site?

In early 2017 Human Proof designs are charging $1497 for an aged site. So you need to ask yourself what is 6 months worth to me?

If you look at the two examples above you can see both aged sites are capable of earning over $4000 per month. Its kind of a no brainer really.

I know this price is not for everyone and that is good news for those who decide to go for it, because it is another step ahead of the pack.

For those who want to reinvest their current affiliate earnings an aged site might be something to plan for.

Thanks for your comment. Go far and go well from Janelle

Once you are in the sandbox you just have to sit it out. But don’t waste time by just sitting doing nothing. Make sure you guys check out the link above to everything you can do now to make the most of your time in the sandbox.

Every site should take these important steps. J

Hey, really interesting information about being in the google sandbox. I think I am there at the moment, but that doesn’t matter to me right now as I am still building out my site.

But the place you recommend seems great,,,, especially if you have the money and it also helps find you a niche too, which can be so hard to decide upon hey.

Great information and will take a further look around your site.
    Thanks

The good news is that its across the board. No website ever misses out on the sandbox. So really , it just makes your starting point a bit later.

    Hey Janelle,
I used to be really scared when my page got Google sandboxed. At first it was awesome to see my site on the first page but after I kept quiet and did nothing, it went down and so did my sales.

I guess there is a lesson to be learned and you’re quite right that we need to earn that by putting in more work to maintain our rankings. Ages sites are indeed awesome but for new sites, how long does it take before Google sandboxes us though?

hi buddy. Thanks for stopping by again. There is no official ‘ sandbox time’ but you could safely rely on 60 days. But….having said that, there are people who have made sales in the first two weeks. Go figure!

I am both great full for this information and mad at myself for reading it. Now I am tempted to spend that money to skip this painful “new website” period. I’m already at 3.5 months, so I think I’m going to ride it out on this site. It would simply put me in a painful financial spot to spend that money right now. I plan on building many more sites in the future and once I start making money on this site I will likely put that money into this method on my new sites. Thanks

    Hey Janelle!
I wished I had come across your article last time when I first started blogging, I was asking myself a lot on why isn’t my site ranking well. I had good content and engagement, but once it reduces, my site disappeared from Google search as it slowly went down in ranking.

Scary thing the Google Sandbox, but if you understand it in the beginning months of blogging, it’ll definitely shed some light for the newbies. How long did it take for your site to get out of the sandbox if you don’t mind me asking? Mine was 90 days 😀

Hi Riaz. I sat in the GooBox for about the same as you, 3 months, maybe a bit more. It is just a fact of life for most of us. I was so busy learning everything that it didn’t matter too much at the time. I had no idea what a keyword was in my first few months, so I would have been mad to expect to rank anyway.

But now, when I start a new site I don’t really want to repeat that if I can avoid it. Aged sites is one way to get around it.
