50 Ways To Move Forward in Life…without even breaking a sweat!

Do you ever feel like you are holding yourself back?

Is  life is passing you by because you can’t get out of your own way?

We know we are capable of a lot more, if only we could just open a door and move forward in life.

Go ahead open it.We all go through times when procrastination and comfort zones are our favorite states of mind. Some of us are recovering from a trauma or illness. Some are just unmotivated or stifled by a less than interesting job.

It’s not a fun time and we kind of choke on our own routines.

At some point we need to turn around and get back on course.

I know these actions can help because for many years I was house bound and bound by fear, with a condition called agoraphobia. I was afraid of leaving the house! It’s true and it’s a long story.

Anyway I  used many techniques to get me where I am today, which is a very good place. This list is a starting point, the first stepping stones to freedom.

Your mind and heart will open,  you can breath again.

Possibilities and opportunities will start to come your way. Your thoughts will expand and create. You will move forward in your life to where positive directions and contented relationships can blossom.

Hi Janette. Yes you should see what taking one photo each day leads to. For me it expanded my portfolio, made me look more closely at everything, added more pleasure to my day and improved my photographic skills.I’ve started practicing new techniques and it makes me calm and focussed on my work.
For me this is progress.I’ve moved forward.

This was a useful post, I have struggled with agoraphobia & social phobia most of my adult life & it has made my life a living hell at times. But you’re right, it comes to a point where it is down to you/me to do something about it. I do still have my struggles but I’m getting out a lot more now.
This is a good post & made me think a lot about who I am & where I’m heading 🙂

Hi Jason, apparently one in three people are dealing with anxiety related phobias. That’s a third of the population. There are some very effective non chemical treatments available. Look at Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Programs (CBT), it’s where you learn to understand why you do what you do and how to change it…the methods involve progressive muscle relaxation, correct breathing techniques, rational thinking and gentle exposure to the perceived triggers. I strongly recommend CBT to anyone who wants to break free from their ‘prison’. CBT is facilitated by clinical psychologists. Life awaits.

“Phone and old friend” and “Say Thankyou – often” are two things I need to remind myself of often. Absolutely, we’re also currently donating our old clothes (and also stereo, old books and furniture where we can) so others can benefit where we no longer need or want.

Haven’t tried naked sunning, but it’s next on my list ha!
